Sopley Mill is such a stunning venue – a beautiful building with amazing oak beams, stunning bare brick and so many original historic features. It’s just outside Christchurch and is in a really beautiful setting, surrounded by gardens with views across the river Avon and water meadows. It’s a perfect venue for a wedding!
I met Sam and Ian in 2015 and was so excited to hear about their wedding theme and venue. They wanted a bright, relaxed and natural feel to their day and were really open to flower suggestions…they just wanted plenty of colourful spring flowers, including Sam’s favourite – lots and lots of daffodils!
Sam’s bouquet was packed full of spring goodness. Amazing double headed daffodils and gorgeously scented narcissi from Flowers by Clowance in Cornwall, along with bright orange ranunculus, tulips, blue delphiniums, pretty tanacetum, purple clematis, cute little forget-me-nots, lime green alchemilla molis and silvery eucalyptus. Little bunches of orange ranunculus mixed with touches of other flowers and eucalyptus made great buttonholes for the guys.

The ceremony room was decorated with a bright floral heart and pretty flower filled jam jars. The reception table centres were perfect for the relaxed and natural feel Sam and Ian wanted – chunky log slices and more flowery jam jars.
Sam and Ian are such a lovely couple, and Sopley is a stunning venue – it was a total joy of a wedding! I hope I’ll be back at Sopley very soon!
