I really love all of the weddings that I’m lucky enough to work on, but this one from October 2015 really stands out as one of my all-time favourites.
Lucy and Kevin wanted an autumnal woodland inspired look to their flowers. Very natural with lovely rich tones of purples and plums, combined with lilac, peach and ivory and a whole lot of gorgeousness from ferns and foliage (love!). Clematis, astilbe, astrantia, chocolate cosmos, trailing amaranthus, spray roses, tanacetum, hypericum berries, santini, scabiosa seed heads, curly willow, pennisetum, populus, ivy and ferns (phew!) were used throughout the wedding flowers.
Lucy’s bouquet was jam packed full of autumn goodness – using lots of flowers in the deeper plums and purples, with hints of peach, lilac and ivory. Her bridesmaids carried similar bouquets, mainly using the slightly lighter colours. All bouquets were bursting with lots of trailing ferns, ivy and populus, and finished off with trailing ribbons.
Little woodland bunches of clematis, tanacetum, astrantia, ferns, ivy and seeded eucalyptus made great buttonholes for the guys.
The Reception flowers at The Green House Hotel were such fun to make! The top table was dressed with a gorgeous fern, foliage and flower filled garland, dotted with pine cones, mini log slices and tealights for added woodlandy-ness! Stacks of log slices topped with flowers and a scattering of pine cones made great table centres.
I can’t believe it’s been just over a year since Lucy and Kevin became Mr and Mrs! Happy anniversary you two! It’s been a wonderful trip down memory lane and I’ve loved looking through your wedding flower pictures again. Below are a selection of my favourites from the super talented Jason Perkins Photography. Thanks again Jason!
