About me

Hi there,

I’m Suzi, thanks so much for stopping by! Here’s a bit about me and what I do…

I live in Bournemouth with my husband, two children and our lovely (if not a little crazy) pet dog and cat. I started my flower journey in 2009 following redundancy from my job in HR and set up Suzi Horrocks Flowers in 2012. Since then I’ve had the most amazing time creating gorgeous flowers for weddings and events across Dorset and Hampshire, along with running fun flowery workshops…all from my studio in my garden.

I’ve always loved flowers, and it came as no surprise to any of my family or friends when I started my business back in 2012. I decided to specialise in weddings as I just love them! The love stories, all the excitement, the planning…it’s such a special time! I also know how overwhelming it can be when planning a wedding – endless to do lists and decisions to make.  So that’s where I come in…I’m here to help with all things floral! From the initial consultation through to the wedding day I am here to help, offer support, advice and guidance.

My flower style is very natural and relaxed. I adore foliage and love to use it throughout all my designs. I also love to use a variety of flowers which add lots of gorgeous texture and interest. Scent is so important too, so I make sure I include it wherever possible, whether that be through flowers, foliage or herbs. I pride myself on creating totally bespoke and unique flowers for all my couples. From the very first meeting and throughout the entire process I really take time to listen and tailor my designs to each of my couples flowery wants and wishes. No two weddings are ever the same.

As for the non-flowery side…

I’ve lived in Bournemouth for over 20 years and I absolutely love it…its such a beautiful part of the country. I feel so lucky to be minutes from amazing beaches and the New Forest. When not knee deep in flowers I spend as much time as possible outside…camping trips, walks, picnics, cycling adventures through the forest and plenty of days at the beach. I also really love spending time with family and friends…more than likely along with food and a few glasses of something! My favourite season is most definitely autumn with its cosy jumpers, changing colours and crunchy leaves. Although having said that I do really love springtime with its pops of green and colour, longer days and maybe the chance to bring out the flip flops once again!

I could go on but I’m sure you want to get on with the pretty side of things. If you haven’t already please do take a look through my galleries, and if you have any questions, or would like to meet up to talk through how I can help you, please do get in touch. I’d love to hear from you!
