Hey! I’m Suzi! Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look around my website. I’m guessing you’re here to check out the person behind the flowers…to find out a little bit about me and what I do, so here goes!
My journey into the world of wedding and event flowers was perhaps a little late compared to some. I had always loved flowers, like really loved them, but never considered it as a career…looking back I have no idea why! I spent my 20’s working in HR, which I did (mostly!) enjoy but never felt truly settled. Following redundancy, I decided to take the plunge and have a complete change of career. This didn’t come as a shock to my family and friends…when I explained that I wanted to become a florist the most common reply was “finally” and “it’s about time!”. So in 2009 I took myself off to train at The Judith Blacklock Flower School in London. Since then I’ve never looked back and have had the most brilliant time creating gorgeous flowers for weddings and special events at some really amazing venues across Dorset and Hampshire.
As for the non-flowery side…
I live in Bournemouth with my husband and 2 children. I absolutely love living here and feel super lucky to be minutes from amazing beaches and the New Forest. When not knee deep in flowers I spend as much time as possible outside…camping trips, picnics, cycling adventures through the forest and plenty of days at the beach. I also really love spending time with family and friends…more than likely with food and a few glasses of something sparkly or gin based! My favourite season is most definitely autumn with its cosy jumpers, log fires, changing colours and crunchy leaves. Although having said that I also really love summer – delicious BBQ’s, beach days, flip flops and so much colour! Talking of colour, I absolutely love it, especially green.
I could go on but I’m sure you want to get on with the pretty side of things…thanks for sticking around to read through my ramblings this far! If you haven’t already please do take a look through my galleries, and if you have any questions, or would like to meet up to talk through how I can help you, please do get in touch. I’d love to hear from you!
