This is the second time that I’ve exhibited at the Dorset Wedding Festival and I’m already excited about the next one! Sometimes wedding exhibitions can be a bit full on and overwhelming for brides and grooms – I know I definitely felt that way when I was a bride to be! This one is totally different – It’s really relaxed, set in a great venue (Weddings in a Field at Farmer Palmers, Wareham) with lots of fab suppliers, live music, hot food, a tearoom, mobile bar and much more!
I always struggle to decide on what flowers to choose – there’s just too much choice!! This year the sun was just starting to make an appearance and I was feeling kind of summery…so I decided to have a bit of a rustic beach theme. I used flowers in coral, cream, peach, ivory, blue and lilac, with plenty of green ivy and silvery toned eucalyptus – Amazing Miss Piggy and vendela roses, jana spray roses, lovely lilac clematis, blue delphiniums and thistles, pretty star shaped astrantia, frilly peach lisianthus, carnations, apricot stocks, and scabiosa seed heads. A really lovely combination of colours and flowers with lots of texture.
I had a really great day – it was brilliant to meet so many brides and grooms and hear about exciting wedding plans and ideas! Thank you if you popped by to say hello. If you would like meet up to talk about your wedding flowers then please do get in touch! I’d love to hear from you.
