A summertime wedding at The Italian Villa

I first met Jenny in 2014. We spent a lovely few hours chatting through wedding plans, style, colours, flowers, and our mutual love of her bridesmaid dresses! It turns out I was due to wear exactly the same dress for my best friend’s wedding!

Jenny and Robert wanted a romantic, soft and subtle look to their wedding flowers – so we chose lovely lemon and peach flowers, lots of fluffy ivory gypsophila, and a touch of silvery foliage.

Jenny’s bouquet was packed full of gorgeously scented ivory Norma Jean roses and ivory freesia, lemon Blonde Beauty roses, peachey Vendela roses, star shaped bouvardia, and lots of gypsophila. Her bridesmaids had similar bouquets, just a bit smaller.

Glass cubes filled with peach and lemon carnations, gypsophila, delicate eucalyptus and British pittosporum made pretty table centres. Carnations get a bit of a bad press – but they really are seriously underrated flowers! They come in amazing colours, have lovely large heads and so many frills! Jenny and Roberts peach ‘apple tea’ carnations also smelt amazing!

A classic long and low arrangement sat on their top table – full of roses, freesias, carnations and bouvardia.

Mirrors, tea lights and scatter crystals completed the look.

It really was a pretty wedding, and The Italian Villa was such a stunning venue. I hope to work there again very soon!
